Bad Distro

I was going to do a review on Youtube on this Distro, but I'm done messing around. Nothing in E17 works right, installed twice in vbox, couldn't install anything in software center, synaptic package manager would not load. What's the point.

Hi Alphens,

thank you for letting us know.

What page? The Snowlinux page or the Distrowatch page?

Site blocked

Dear Snowlinux - Just to let you that that OpenDNS blocked your site (link from Distrowatch) as a suspect phishing site. I have sent them a message syaing it isn't, but you might want to follow up further.

Cannot install on IBM R40 which is non-pae. This page claims that x86 is sufficient. Isn't Pentium an x86?

The 32bit version has a few bugs that sadly were not reported in the beta and rc phase. We will work on it and fix those issues.
I tried this but...

This distribution still needs some work-quite a bit of work. You cannot install any KDE apps for one, and also one cannot import any saved picture as wall paper. I know I have tried several times. I was disappointed that I could not keep this on my computer. Every thing else works. So back to the drawing board.

RE: snowlinux-e17-crystal.iso MD5Sum
2Wednesday, 19 September 2012 18:26
Investigating currently.
The md5sum you posted can be confirmed at first.
But the local ISO build has a different md5sum.
So the ISO even on the server might be wrong although it seems to pass all tests so far.
