E17 iso Please

@Lars: Can you please remove 10MB from the E17 32-bit iso so it can fit on a CD? The USB install does not work. Bodhi Linux keeps their iso’s small and then you can add later what you want. This is a good idea.

705mb....... too large for a cd.
Monitor does not work properly
11Sunday, 09 December 2012 21:59
I installed Snowlinux 3 - the gnome 2 version. My monitor is a Samsung - standard kind of thing.

When I tried to change the resolution from the basic 1920 x 1080 to something I can actually see: 1280 x 800, I found out that Snowlinux has only the 1920 x 1080 resolution available.

It also said it could not detect my monitor, though the screen looked ok, just that everything was too small for me to see it comfortably.

Any suggestions?

Edit by Lars: You need to install proprietary graphic drivers. Which graphic card do you have?
deb-multimedia, flash player and proprietary videocard drivers

Is repo deb-multimedia installed? Is Flash Player installed? Are drivers for the videocard automatically installed?

Edit by Lars: Yes, no and no.

Just to say - what a simple and fast Gnome 2.3 distro happily running on my eight years old Athlon 64 - congratulations!

The other fast distro is Solus OS - also based on Debian.

Edit by Lars: Thank you for your praise.
mouse right click problem

Thank you for this beautiful distro. Only one thing : if you use the default style, right click mouse does,t work when you choose a folder (it's too fast: open and disappeare istantly). You have to change style (menù-settings-appareance) and everythings come back ok.
Sorry for my not good english ! :-)

See you on Snowlinux e17 comments *_°

MD5 checks OK, Burned with Brasero which does checksum also. But...
Failed to continue loading after grub splash.
Same result on 2 different burns and 2 different CD drives.
Equip':Dumb old P4, 2GB with fresh Xubuntu and Proteus installs.

Where the inovations?

Some say: Instead of Ubuntu, it is better to use Debian. Perhaps these are korreckt. But perhaps it is better to use Trisquell or Wheezy, and Gnome2 to replace MATE. Perhaps it may be better to use torrent, and attention to quality. Perhaps it is also better to have a few nonfree's like 'oracle-jre7u7' or 'adobe-flash 11.x' in the own sources.

And maybe, just maybe, it is better to leave it at the last update of Debian squeeze.

Under heading 'Upstream information:'
-description for gnome
-description for XFCE
-description for gnome & XFCE again *that should be e17 instead*

e17 32-bit download would complete straight away at 0 bytes, but gnome is downloading normally under same ancient version of firefox in xp
-will try newer version of browser, or from a linux OS:)

Edit by Lars: The E17 edition was deactivated for the moment.
Glad to have a try

I THINK THIS WILL BE A GREAT INNOVATION

Edit by Lars: Thank you.
Snowlinux 3.1 e17 .iso

Tried downloading the 32bit .iso twice. once from here and once from Softpedia. Both times the md5 sum was incorrect. The 64bit .iso seems fine.

Edit by Lars: Corrected.
